KATAOKA — THE MANIFESTO

Founded in 2025 by Sammy Kataoka Bennani Sørensen at seventeen.

Every detail in this house comes from somewhere.

From Japan, the belief that mastery is never finished. From Morocco, leather and artisanal craft carried across generations. From Denmark, the quiet discipline of silhouette. From Italy, the technical precision of a grandmother who spent her career as a patternmaker.

All the this is the heritage of the founder; Half Moroccan. Quarter Japanese. Quarter Danish.

This heritage is not a story we tell. It is the reason every construction decision gets made the way it does. The reason certain materials are non-negotiable. The reason details that will never be photographed still have to be right.

The house operates two lines, KATAOKA and THIRTEENTH by KATAOKA. The same obsession runs through both.

What was built under another name continues here, under the name it was always meant to carry.

A garment from this house is meant to outlive the season it arrived in.
